Depression...
It lives inside of you
Waiting...
To devour you
Hate...
It lurks in your heart
Biding its time
Tearing you apart
Joy...
Sometimes real, most often not
It is a mask we put on
For the world at large
Love...
A word carelessly used
Its true meaning is lost
With betrayal and abuse
A poem I once read
Expresses it better
Says not to believe
To look deeper and harder
Please listen to my cry
Don't believe what you see
For it is all a lie
IT IS NOT THE REAL ME!



Perfect World

In a perfect world
The sky stays a baby blue
And the grass grows greener than a shamrock
All year round
In a perfect world
We work for the sheer pleasure
And we all dance the night away
Till our legs are about to fall off
In a perfect world
There is no hatred or war
Only love and giving and understanding
We finally learned how to share
In a perfect world
I could tell you of my love
And you would enfold me in your embrace and whisper
I'm yours for eternity.
But this is not a perfect world
And you do not love me
And I don't trust you to stay no matter what you say
So I cry myself to sleep wishing
For that Perfect world
But my dreams and are all in vain
Yes till the day I die
You will have my heart



Who You Were

You were my life
You were my love
You were the angel
He sent from above
You were my world
You stole my heart
But now there is nothing left
You tore it all apart
And now I am lost
With no where to go
No way to find
Why you left me behind
No way to search
Nothing to show
Of the love that we shared
Or the way I dared
To express my love for you
